THE ATOMIC NURSES biography
Zasu and Stina Suntland, while still recording with SYRIA, formed the straight electro duo THE ATOMIC NURSES, taking their name from the first song they had ever performed together. Having the critically well-acclaimed SYRIA albums 'The Return Of Saturn' and 'The Kafka Syndrome' in mind, the NURSES - focusing on Zasu's alto voice and Stina's mezzo territories - now move on with a soundtrack of electronic chillings, dancing curiosities and some trip hop cabaret kind of thing.
In October 2007, THE ATOMIC NURSES will release the 4-track MCD 'Short Syntax' and the 15-track album 'Pyjamadrama' (both recorded between October 2006 and March 2007 in Munich, Germany; produced and mixed by Fat Monk) on their own independent label SMART BOMB RECORDS. Writing and performing their own songs is the predominate parameter now, but they also did cover versions of NANCY SINATRA and JEFFERSON AIRPLANE: The subversive artistic elements are rounded up and yet the show must go on - and you will fall under the NURSES' spell if you are not careful. And that is not a bad thing, by any means.
