Frailty "Lost Lifeless Lights"
In my opinion, Frailty is the first latvian band, who has brought deep and respectable feelings for melodic doom metal by following the musical footsteps of bands such as My Dying Bride and Anathema. By adding extra tragic elements from funeral doom style the whole thing sounds even more unique. An album worked out in details, which literarry shines out sorrow and bittersweet emotions. And that is the most important that I noticed about Frailty - each song is like a true, emotionally rich story.They have got a great ability of combining their musical resources and imagination - cutting guitars, filled riffs, unexpected swifts from thunder-deep waves of energy to atmospheric guitar solos, gentle synths and of course the vocal changes, where painful growling mixes with melancholic clean vocals. Frailty is not another headbanger's party, it is powerfull, emotional music, that won't allow you to fall asleep, that will make you think about pain, dreams, the unknown, about the yearings of your soul. While listening to "Lost Lifeless Lights" one gets the feeling of being surrounded by wide space, as if the band was playing in a demolished old church or on a plain field. It is very easy to associate you own personal pain as each word is being sang and each string is being stroke. Frailty's music is not agressive, it's not childish, it is noble, serious, aristocratic and philosophic cosmos of sorrow with no exit,since all the earthly problems disappear and there you are all alone with your unreachable dream or your lost goal. Dramatic music, dramatic lyrics and great quality. I won't hesitate to admit - a diamond in latvian metal scene.

Frailty - Solitude Productions presents a debut album of the first Latvian doom/death band Frailty. "Lost Lifeless Lights" - rigid, bright and technical music in the vein of European doom death metal school (My Dying Bride, Anathema, Mourning Beloveth), with dark metal influences, which makes the band’s sound very original and fresh. All this makes Frailty one of the best bands of a Baltic heavy scene.
